About me
I am 23, I was born in 1985, the 23rd of April.
I am self taught when it comes to digital art, I learnt how to use photoshop by trying every little thing that I could find in this program. I studied in 3 art schools though (1 year in the Fine Arts school of Castres, 1 year in the Fine Art school of Brest and 3 years in ENSAD, in Paris), but the artworks I'm displaying in my portfolio have NOTHING to do with what I learnt at school (this style is actually somehow "prohibited" in France It means art teachers just hate it).
I have studied anatomy and perspective at school, and I must say, my morphology teacher rocks, he taught me many things I would have never thought about only by looking at anatomy books (the importance of fat, the way bones and tendons are affected by light, etc .
Nature, music, movies..... Actually, everything can be inspiring, as long as I'm in the mood to create.
I love photography, painting, drawing (I mean both digitally and traditionally), walking in the forest, fishing, riding horses... I'm also a singer and a piano player. You can listen to some songs here : [link]
You can contact me at diane.ozdamar@gmail.com
About artwork and tools used
No, I unfortunately don't have time to do art trades anymore. However, I could sometimes post a journal about art trades, if I can find enough free time and motivation to do them.
Yes, you can see all details about commissions here : [link]
Sorry, no... This is the same as for art trades : since I'm very busy, I'm trying to paint what I really love when I have free time.
Sometimes I accept collaborations. I may post some journals asking for collabs when I have free time.
No, for the same reason as usual : lack of time.... The tutorials I've already done explain almost all my techniques so doing another tutorial would not be really interesting, since it would almost be the same than already existing ones.
I can give online lessons. Don't hesitate to contact me for further details.
Sorry, no. And I really mean NO, so please don't do so. My already existing artworks are not free to use anywhere, some of them are even licensed, or are already part of existing projects and have their own stories. I don't allow tubbing, modifications, using my work as avatars, signatures, myspace layouts, blog layouts, banner, etc....
If you really want a specific avatar/layout/banner, etc, you can commission me. I can do low res (72dpi) images for websites, avatars, signatures, etc... at low prices.
Sure, as long as you credit me and show me the result. Even if you've colored one of my works, it doesn't mean that you're allowed to use if for commercial purposes though ! If you think you've altered the original lineart really ENOUGH to sell it (all covered with paint, added or removed elements, etc ), ask me and I'll see if it can be sold as a print.
Sure, I would be very happy to see the result by the way! Please credit me though, these characters are very dear to me.
No, I'm using a Wacom Intuos 3 A4 size tablet.
I'm mostly using PhotoshopCS3, and I learnt it myself, trying to explore as many things as possible... I would strongly suggest you to try many things out in order to understand how it works. I also use Illustrator sometimes, and of course traditional medium such as pencils, acrylics and oil paint, watercolours, inks....
They are almost always more than 3000px wide and 4000px high, 300dpi (usually approximately 5000px x 6500px)
Some prints are available through DeviantArt. Some of the ones that are not available as DA prints can be purchased directly through me. I do have a professional printer that can print up to A0 files.
